Stephen L. Scranton, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Stephen L. Scranton, M.D., F.A.C.P. is the brain behind Brain Fitness Centers of Florida, LLC. He graduated from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency and internship at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing Internal Medicine for almost 40 years.
Dr. Scranton is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), a society of internists comprised of a special group of doctors dedicated to continuing education in medical practice, teaching, and research. Fellows are recognized for ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine. Through continual self-improvement and study, these physicians add to the knowledge and skills needed to deliver appropriate care to their patients.
Dr. Scranton is a pioneer of process based, dynamic adaptive computerized cognitive training and rehabilitation. Through partnerships with organizations such as the Department of Defense, the University of South Florida, and Penn. State, he contributed to elemental research and has continued to advance the specialty over the years in his research driven, evidence-based practice.
In addition, Dr. Scranton is an experienced Managing Partner with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry and is skilled in Healthcare Consulting, U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Cognitive Rehabilitation, and Healthcare.
